Can a smart blueray player work like roku 2?

i have a samsung blueray dvd player that lets me connect to the net  so i was wondering if it can work like roku 2

Yes, but you'll probably find Roku offers a wider variety of viewing options.

However and this is a big one, you'll find that you'll likely blow through your Exede data allowance in record time (whether that be a hard capped Classic plan or soft capped Liberty plan - in the latter case of Liberty plans spped may be an issue once going over your priority data allowance). Heavy video streaming on Exede is impractical unless you're independently wealthy and can afford to constantly buy more data (in addition to any subscriptions that might also be required for streaming content services).

The same caveat applies equally to Smart TVS, Smart Blu Ray Players, DirecTV and Dish internet access.
