They told me my bill would be about $60.00 a month which it has been. But this month they took $90.00 out of my bank account and overdraft it. I am on fixed income and never agreed to that much a month. Actually they told me it would be 39.99 a month. and a $10.00 discount on my direct TV. Please help, I can't afford this amount a month.

First step is to call and find out why they took out that amount

Could be the once a year real estate tax, but that amount seems high. I am sure a moderator will check and let you know if you email them your account info.

Viasat equipment is leased by the customer and owned by viasat. This means Viasat has to pay property taxes on the equipment each year. They pass the tax directly to the customer. My tax was $4.20 for the year.

Unless there is something else going on, Bonny should have only seen an extra charge for the taxes. It shouldn't have been more than $5. That's why I suggested sending an email to Viasatlistens@viasat.com to investigate.

Unless she bought extra data, there shouldn't have been a $30 increase.

Send an email to Viasatlistens@viasat.com explaining your situation. Don't forget to include your account information such as name, address, phone number and account number. This will reach the corporate office and hopefully they can help.

Also, consider what plan you signed up for as a new customer...many plans have an introductory low monthly rate for the first 3 or 6 months then go up to the same price existing customers are charged.  What plan did you signup too when you first started this service??

Email them and they can keep charging you the same exact amount attempt to make you feel good about it. But if you call in they will lie to you and make you feel good about it. They may charge you more but you leave the call expecting $60 or less on the bill. This is a truly horrible company but they also happen to be the best of the worst.
