What you see is what you get for now... at least until the new satellite is put into service in a few weeks. At that time, you'll see new plans introduced and Viasat won't be making them public until the new satellite goes live.

Here you go, hot off the presses what is known:

It says February.  Be prepared for that to possibly mean the very last day in February.

Thankfully, it has only 28 days this year ;)

If it's any consolation, I just saw a convoy of these at the I-95 rest stop prepared to swing into action for all of the required installs for Viasat-2 upgrades and more appear to be on the way:

It reminded me of hurricane preparation during a state of emergency. I haven;t seen this much anticipation of a product launch since standing in line at Egghead Software for Windows 95.

Since people are going crazy with "where's the new plans?" (including me), my comment bears repeating.

I'm prepared for it to be the last day in Feb, just hoping my prediction isn't right.

I don't like the sound of this....

The satellite will continue to undergo testing during the beta service period, as Boeing has identified an in-orbit antenna issue, which has caused some spot beams to perform differently than they did during ground testing. Boeing, with Viasat's support, is working to determine the root cause of the issue and to identify corrective measures.

With my luck that will be my area that is impacted :(.

"Good thing we're not still waiting on Falcon Heavy for a launch - this doesn't sound too good either:"

http://www.businessinsider.com/us-spy-satellite-lost-due-to-spacex-failure-2018-1

May have to revise that report Old Labs!

SpaceX President and COO Gwynne Shotwell put out a statement Tuesday saying Falcon 9’s part of the mission went off as planned. “After review of all the data to data, Falcon 9 did everything correctly on Sunday night,” she said. And she noted that any reports that the rocket failed are “categorically false.”

"Northrop Grumman  “provided its own payload adapter, so separation may be [Northrop Grumman’s] problem and not SpaceX’s problem.”

Doesn't change the fact that the Falcon Heavy demo flight was originally forecast for its maiden flight in 2013 not early 2018 - some estimates are rougher than others.

I understand the delays and reasons for them due to earlier Falcon problems and SpaceX placing less emphasis on the Heavy as a result of those delays. Viasat was fortunate to be able to snag an open spot on Arianne otherwise Viasat-2 would still be in the factory as it wasnt scheduled until the third or fourth Falcon Heavy launch.

In fact, the demo Heavy was on the launch pad shortly before or after this classified event for launch later this month. It was supposed to test fire yesterday the 11th and I haven't seen a confirmation as the Spacex Facebook page has gone silent for now and historically they're quick to post there when having any successes.

The question is whether the Heavy will be delayed once again and how long as they investigate the real cause of the incident or even if there was one - if a classified payload goes missing, is it really missing? Does a bear... nevermind!

In the mean time I anxiously await the placing of a Tesla Roadster in orbit around Mars...

No matter how you slice it, Space X unfortunately has had a rockier track record in its short life span compared to that of Arienespace.

The French doing satellite launches better than the Russians or Americans? Think about that.

Hopefully V2's issue doesn't mirror (no pun intended) the Hubble debacle.

Agreed. Little worried about one of these antennas underperforming. You can't go fix it if it is a hardware issue.

Try not to take the waiting game too personal or serious. I tried to celebrate Black History Month and was accused of being racist.

Whether new plans are announced today or the last day of February, it really doesn't make much of a difference. There is still going to be a delay in scheduling an install, and the be perfectly honest the plans that exist today are really good. It's pretty mind boggling to me when there's plans available with 150 GB of data, and people are still not happy.

And yes, Liberty 12 might work as well for me as it does for you, but since a new satellite and new plans are coming, I was advised to wait and see (which I am).

Wouldn't hurt to wait. I just have a feeling the new plans are going to be a little bit pricier than what we have now.

In a year or so, prices should drop.

"I tried to celebrate Black History Month and was accused of being racist."

That is the impression you want to give people. The moderators give us a lot of room to run and play on this forum, some think maybe too much. Some of your posts have crossed the line and now you act like we are dumb and have miss-interpreted things. Your new screen name along with some of your posts are troubling.  If we really are stupid and have miss-interpreted some of your posts, then you need to step back and see why that has happened.

It's totally up to you. My guess is you will be banned sooner rather than later.
You do post interesting things, but you cross the line every once and awhile.
Not cool.

I'm not seeing any "available plans" on my dashboard at all.
