I've been with excede for over a year and i haven't had this problem until lately, it seems like streaming YouTube and NetFlix videos is blocked! I can't even play a simple Facebook game. Please respond back to me on this situation. Even when i used up my data i could stream YouTube & NetFlix videos.

I was told by support that they had a "software upgrade" a few days ago and now certain sites are completely blocked if you run out of data. I guess they decided it was more profitable to block sites than make them run slower.

I think it might be illegal to take away my personal choices--this is a form of discrimmination--especially when I bought more data

You're welcome. I'm in the same boat as you and not happy with their changes.

We recently had a update to our system that affected Evolution plans. Over the years, content providers changed their delivery methods which made it difficult to to distinguish streaming when reporting usage.  For some customers prior to this upgrade our software incorrectly distinguished streaming media as web browsing. This update now better distinguishes it and if you've gone over your data you may have trouble visiting such sites as youtube, Facebook video and so on.

Sorry Destiny,

However we are working on offering a very exciting range of options to our customers following the launch of ViaSat 2 in March/April. With the new satellite we will be able to offer more robust plans ideal for streaming.

Brad,

Are there any dates to when it will actually be usable for customers because I'd assume there's a lot more involved in it after it's launched.

Yes there will be some work following it to make sure we have a established connection, I do not know what's all involved or the release dates of the benefits that follow. I do anticipate we'll have an announcement on here closer to launch time.
