I have tried several times to turn on/off router. No service. My android shows that I am connected....and the picture it shows me shows from my device to router is ok...but router to satellite not connected. how do I know if it is the router or satellite.

I would think this would be a recurring and common customer service question. And that the vendor would be interested in supplying customers with an answer.
What I do is navigate via a web browser to my modem's page. This will show a bit more information about what's going on. If I see that there isn't anything ( signal level ) coming from the satellite I reboot the modem. This isn't often the case.
If I see that the modem is chirping along Ok I play with my 'downstream' router - usually resetting it ( actually resending a DHCP request from my router thing to the Exede modem.
Then, if after a few min none of that works I turn off both the sat modem and the router, let them sit for a while, then turn on the modem, wait 5 min, then turn on the router.
most often these days it's a stale DHCP handle and re-requesting clears the pipes.
If none of that works one would have to go somewhere and get another internet connection to take a look at Exede's current status.
