I've tried every port - nothing works. Help!
Thank you! The printer is not plugged into the computer. It was plugged into our Linksys router which was needed with our old Exede Modem. We thought that with the new Exede Modem/Router we could just plug it into one of the ethernet outlets, but it doesn't accept it. The problem is that I spent hours with tech support yesterday just getting the new Modem/Router to work faster (I had also upgraded my speed/data plan) and they had me disconnect Linksys saying that was slowing down the speed. So, this a.m. when I needed to print, I just plugged it into the new modem/router and it wouldn't work. I reconnected linksys to modem/router and printer is working, but speed is reduced again. Certainly not worth the extra $$$ since it's as slow as if not slower than before.
At a minimum, you would need to reinstall the printer (add printer, driver and software - chances are the software and drivers won't be reinstalled and the operating system will simply need to discover the network printer) on each operating system you use it on as if it were a new printer when connected to the new router (chances are its network IP address has changed from what it was on the old router). Specific instructions should be in the printer's manual/guide, but somewhat generic instructions can be found at:
