I just need to know what page I get to see who is using my wifi. I have the gateway so everything talks about net gear etc but my modem doesn't say anything like that

Perhaps someone with that particular modem can tell you - this venue used to be a little more helpful for customer-to-customer support  but has devolved quite a bit - approaching the level of a monkey spit fight at the zoo in recent days.

However, the reason you see Netgear, Asus and other routers mentioned is many have found the Viasat combination modem/router light on features that are commonly found in other routers. Many simply use their own routers attached to the Viasat device(s)..

I personally don't have either of the combination modem/routers so can't be of much assistance regarding the features they may have.

FWIW, Velvet, the Viasat app purportedly will show devices that have connected to your gateway:

I read your problem as if you only have the Viasat modem/router.   If so, log into it at http://192.168.1.1:8080/Router.asp .  Click on Router settings and scroll down to DHCP client table button which will bring up a popup listing all connections to your modem
