How do I remove addresses from the window of addresses that appears when I click "To" when choosing names and sending an email? thank you

It depends upon what application you are using for email. Let us know and someone can probably assist.

It sounds like you don't want recipients seeing the list of addresses - right? If this is the case you can send all recipients "blind copies." You will usually see options for "cc" and "bc" in the address bar.

If your talking about the list of frequent contacts, like in outlook you can just highlight it and press the del key and it will remove it.

If you are using the Zimbra webmail, you can simply place our cursor right after the name you want to delete, and hit the backspace key.

Hello Kent, please follow these steps to assist with removing the address you wish not to appear when composing your emails. 

Click on the Address Book tab within your Zimbra email.

Click on Emailed Contacts on the left side of the screen.

A list of emailed contacts will show up to the right 

Check the boxes for the contacts you choose not show auto populate.

Click Delete.
