How do I get equipment replaced? My house was burnt down to the ground in the Butte fire on 9/11/15. :(

Yikes. That is terrible. I am so sorry to hear that. :-(

I hope that no one was hurt. Hopefully someone will answer this soon.

Hi Kathy,

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your house.

Just a few things you should note. Unless you purchased an equipment replacement plan, I believe you'll have to cover the cost of getting the equipment replaced. That being said, I would check with your insurance agent because it is most likely covered by your home owners policy.

I would recommend calling Exede customer service. You can find their number on Exede's contact page which is https://www.exede.com/contact-us-exede/.

Another thing to think about would be to jump on the hibernation plan until you get your service back up and running. You can find more information about it at http://www.exede.com/hibernation-plan/. Exede customer service can also explain more of the details to you on how that would work.

What is the cost to replace the equipment, i am not sure what you supplied?

Hi Kathy, I'm so sorry to hear about the fire and your loss. I can't imagine how devastating that has been for you. Equipment fees are based on many factors. The basic fee for equipment is $300.00. It includes the tria, modem and power cord. That is what ViaSat requires a customer to return, if an account is disconnected. We do not require the dish to be returned.
