I have someone that comes over to my house regularly that isn't supposed to use my internet but they push the WPS button and get on it anyway. How do I disable this button?

Crude, but here it is....

Use hot-melt glue to cover the button.  It  can later be peeled off without damage but while it is there the button is protected.

When a person sees the blob of glue... it sends a message too.

A paper clip stuck in the side of the button does wonders

I'm probably in the minority here but if someone did that at MY house after I told them not to.....they wouldn't be allowed back.

I had a business who ended up cancelling because employees kept getting on their internet by pressing the WPS button and running up a huge bill. On the old business plans, you were charged $10/gig overage and the sky was the limit.

I'm with you.  Kind of like the person who knows someone who comes over has bedbugs, but continues to let them come over.  WTF?

I'm guessing the real answer like everything else on these combo modem/routers is to place it in bridge mode, disable WiFi and attach a router of your own that has the ability to disable that feature.

Either that or an attack chihuahua proves to be a deterrent ;)

Put the router in a closet. Get an entry door lock for that closet door. Lock it when the abuser comes over.
