First off need a little more info. Is your modem, router and computer in same room or are you trying to connect your computer to the wireless? Also are we talking a desktop computer or laptop computer?

It's a desktop HP and a Netgear n-150 router seating next to each other. I have no cables to connect or any disc. Excede installer put in dish and router. No passwords, no info. Nothing!!! Can use phones and iPads but not desktop. I'm no guru either. Lol

So it sounds like the wireless is working. Did the installer put a password on the wireless? From what you say here sounds like the installer ran a network cable from the viasat modem to your netgear router but you're one cable short. You will need to get a cable to go from the back of your router to the back of your computer. Other option until you get one is to unplug the cable from the back of your router and plug it in to your computer so you can use it until you get a second cable

No problem if you need anything else let us know or one of the mods if you have any service issues. Make sure though that you have the wireless password protected when you do get everything hooked up and running fully.
