Hi Barbara,  It may depend on how many updates your laptop did. If your laptop was updating all the applications as you set it up, may account for your data usage.  Please send an email with your account and contact information. We can review it and check out what the data was used for. Thanks

From what I have been reading about excede what's the point of sending you my information? Customer is always wrong! I had to upgrade my plan within 1 week just for setting up a new laptop and watching a movie?! Really?! I have done theses things many times and NEVER have I used over 13 gigs for doing so! I was forced to just unplug EVERYTHING!! Never thought I would actually miss hughesnet!

1 HD movie, apx 2 hours in length is APX 2 GB usage. ONE major windows update, is 3-5 GB, and if that's a new laptop, that would mean 2 such updates for Windows 10 so, at least 6 GB there, then there is the graphics driver, abot0.5 GB on average, audio driver, device drivers, printer software possibly, any other apps or programs you may have updated. Easily 10-12 GB.

In fact the last time I set up a new computer, under Windows 10, with a printer and, only those apps which come with a new computer, it took over 20 GB of downloads to do so.

Send that email, they can tell you when, for what purpose and, the most likely device to have used your data. That is useful just in case there is a device that isn't yours on there, or one that you didn't realize was connecting to your wifi.
