How can I get my service to change on the date it renews?

My service just renewed for this month, but I'd like to upgrade to the unlimited plan when my service renews next month. How can I make that happen?

Actually yo can upgrade today if you like, they will prorate the bill next month. Just log in to https://my.exede.net then choose CHANGE PLAN.

If you prefer, you can call 855-463-9333. Your modem will reboot automatically when the new plan goes into effect, that's usually immediately.

If what you're really looking to do is eliminate the prorated charge increase (for budgeting reasons possibly), I don't think you can with any certainty - best you'd be able to do is minimize the prorated effect by upgrading the day before reset and hope the billing system is setup to catch it by close of business for the monthly cycle.

But beware you run the risk of the plan you want no longer being available if you wait... those who defer decisions based on their finances are left at a disadvnatage and have to ensure the funds are available to handle the prorating increase with automatic billing. It would be nice if ViaSat were to allow those individuals (or anyone else for that matter) an opportunity to schedule effective date for changes for budgetary planning purposes - as more and more live paycheck to paycheck these days.
