Our data usage jumped from 1.5gb at 11:30 AM to 5.6gb at 9:15 PM on the same day. We had very limited use of the internet during this period of time. How can I find out what caused the spike in data usage?

What operating system are you using? There is a long post on here about how to conserve and stop your system from using up all your data. It should be a sticky at the top of this site but for some reason it isn't.

If you have updated to Win10 you have a lot of reading to do to make it Exede (or any pay by the byte, metered internet) compatible.

Contact one of the Exede people here at with your user id number and they should be able to tell you what type of data was being used.

Hello Richard, I would be more than happy to review your account details and check your usage categories so we can figure out where your data was consumed. Please send us an email with your account and contact information. Thank you
