Viasat has it in plain site. The threshold ranges from 40 to 150 gb depending on what plan you signed up for. After that, speeds will slow down based on congestion. It's your own fault if you chose to ignore what was in plain site when you signed up.
Actually, I might be jumping to conclusions. Did you sign up for service at Viasat.com or did you go through a third party dealer?
The website lays everything out in plain view.
Unfortunately, if you signed up with a third party dealer over the phone or Facebook, you may have been lied to. Some dealers will tell you anything to sign you up just so they can make a commission.

Coverage changed so I changed providers instead of going nuts and getting the FBI involved.

If you could bring your Viasat dish to a football game and manage to point it, you would have signal. That wasn't the case with my Verizon phone.

Unlimited plans offering 150GB were at least comparable to Freedom.p

Your speed had a 69% middle variance
TiP Summary - Minimum :: 23.19 Mbps | Middle :: 38.81 Mbps | Maximum :: 47.45 Mbps
I think i used 90 of my 150 Gig last month and so far this month 83 Gig, fast.com usually yields 3.2 to 3.6 so the Silver 150 has been a good plan with a nice data buffer. My data resets tomorrow.
Now that the phone app is working, i'm going to have to dig around a little to find something to complain about.
I'm sure some others are having issues do to unrealistic expectations, congestion and a few bonafide glitches here and there, but for the most part i think we are on the right path.

Nobody is that special. I've got that little blue cup over there and, then some but, guess what - I use over 150 GB in a month and, I'm just as likely as joe blow that just signed up yesterday to get deprioritized and, thus slowed.
If it were stated as WILL BE then, if for some reason someone didn't get slowed beyond the soft limits, they would be delighted and, get that "Hey I slipped one over on them" happy feeling. We know it's just how the system works and luck and usage on thier beam at the time favored them but, if they expect to be slowed and, sometimes aren't, then that's better PR than them thinking they probably won't be slowed, then they do get slowed.

I'm sorry, but if you are complaining about speeds at that level, then satellite internet isn't for you.
