Not happy with service through DIRECTV

I had internet installed on 8-31-15. I got the internet thru Direct TV. They advised me the wireless router would be included, it was not. They also never told me about the $9.99 additional fee. They never got my permission to set up EFT payments. I was assured 10 gb was more than enough for a family of 4 and then I later find out that a HD movie takes 3 gb of data an hour. I was also told that I had 24 hours to cancel if I was not satisfied with the service. I called to complain about your installer and because he was very rude and did not make sure the equipment worked before he left. I was then advised of all the lies I was told by Direct TV. I called last night at 10 pm to cancel the service after going round with Direct TV for hours. I was told by Richard to call back between 8 am and 8 pm to cancel and that I would not be charged an early termination fee. When I called this morning however I was informed he never put that in the notes and that you are charging me $180 to cancel something I only had for 24 hours. I want the fee waved and not to be put on my credit. It is a breach on contract on your part for all the lies I was told. I need someone to call me back to rectify this situation immediately.

Look I get the frustration and the anger but you are partly to blame too. The company I work for has to do due diligence on any company we want as a potential vendor more so if they are going to be accessing our network or going to be in our building. Point is we have to research them and make sure that they are going to provide the service they say they are going to and to that customers of Exede need to do their research and make sure they know all the fine print before signing the contract. That being said did the installer or directtv do you right and tell you everything it don't sound like it which is wrong but you need to do your homework as well before signing a 2 yr contract.

Tracey, let me add hopefully one of the Exede mods here can help you out and help clearify everything for you. What I would do is send an email to Exedelistens@viasat.com and ask for help explaining their service. Include either your account number or the phone number on the account so they can pull up your account. I have seen in extreme cases where they have let you cancel your service at no charge but its extremely rare. That's the only other direct option you have for help through Exede would be to send that email.
