Bigger packages would be great.  I would even consider dumping Direct TV if I could get enough data.  More Netflix and anime....https://tubitv.com/category/anime... would be nice!

That's part of the idea of ViaSat 2. We are hoping to officially be able to announce what we will offer hopefully around or after the launch (April 25th). I think some pricing and planning is still being worked on but it will definitely be geared towards one of satellite internet's "Achilles heel": Streaming.

while the footprint does cover flight paths into transatlantic flights, that won't affect our overall service (as that concern came up in a previous thread). Personally on transatlantic flights, I'm more into watching the movies on demand or the live map since I can't seem to sleep on flights rather than browsing Facebook or Reddit or whatever but that's just me...everyone else seems to be more into sleeping.

But anyway once ViaSat 2 is fully up and running we will be doubling our ENTIRE capacity. While we anticipate growth, it'll take some time before ViaSat 2 starts filling but we already have ViaSat 3 being tested. We've been ready for this for a while and can not wait until we can start offering the perks. You guys seem to be well informed but again I'll just say Stay Tuned! We have some cool stuff to be announced very soon.

@ Exede Brad, Employee

I respect you.  You have consistently been the one person at exede that gives a straight sincere answer that didn't get copy/pasted from the "here's what to tell them" manual. Your contributions have been based on the "honesty is the best policy" and that has not gone un-noticed by me.  I hope others here appreciate your more human responses as other employees have been accused of being 'Bots' due to their "canned, boilerplate"  style of responding to submitted concerns.

Keep in mind it will take a little time after launch for those plans to release. Once it gets launched our engineers have to establish a connection and run some tests and uploads before we can go crazy with the new satellite. From the stuff I was able to see I think this is going to really address a lot of concerns customers have with satellite internet. Streaming capabilities in my opinion is something that sort of left the dock before we could be ready. Just rewind to 4 or 5 years, streaming wasn't as big, Netflix didn't really have the vast library of original shows like Stranger Things or anything like that, and while it was well into the down-slide Blockbuster was still around. Now people are increasingly cutting the cable to do online entertainment over cable or satellite TV. We just didn't have the overall bandwidth to support a lot of that. A movie here and there...sure but not a full season of something or a weekend of watching a lot of movies but now we should be able to support streaming once this has launched. ViaSat 2 had a setback but I think we're all foaming at the mouth with excitement about launching it for everyone. ViaSat 3 is going to take it even further and that's already in the ground testing phases.
