My speeds again this morning are awesome, now come evening, which I've been told, aren't so well but hey still in the teens area so not unhappy. Guess my beam is  one of the great ones out there. As I've said before, wish others could get what I get and maybe one day they will too once they do some switching from the 1 to the 2 or whatever it is they are doing. I'm happy, sorry for others that can't be as happy! Just wanted to share and I guess brag some too, sorry! Oh and usually I get upper 40.'s morning till about 5pm than after about 8 or 9 it's going back up some! So yeah every reason to be a happy customer out here  with VIASAT! Thank you VIASAT for maing it possible for us country living people! I"m on the Unlimited Silver 25 MBPS that's my plan I'm using now and if the 30 MBPS come down in price, I'll switch to that one or if they get 50 MBPS out here I'll switch all depends on the prices of the plans!

I know, I think they get slammed a lot and really don't need to be slammed so much but than again maybe the areas they are living in, I don't know but I've always had awesome tech help when ever I call in and if I ever need them out here, they come but I don't usually call for help out at the house. The people on the other end of the phone line are always very nice and help me in every way they can, so yeah I'm happy and giving them a 5 star out of 5 stars!

Just one more little test I just did. Tease I am I know, sorry! But I do think that even though the speeds you might be getting that are lower in the 20's, teens or 30's are plenty good for doing things online, I still do what I need to do online when I'm in the teens just being honest!

I'm on the Freedom 150 - 12 Mbps plan, just checked and was getting 19.0 Mbps. It does drop down to 10 or 11 during the evening prime time when people are streaming. I haven't "cut the cord", I still watch my TV programs the old fashioned way, on my Dish TV system.

I am a happy Viasat subscriber.

Dimensional analysis, or straight simple math, but you always have to make sure your units are correct.

Feel free to threaten to sue Viasat when your speeds drop to 5 mbps during network congestion.

It boggles my mind how people don't understand "up to" and congestion.

Under perfect circumstances, many of us are only supposed to get a certain speed whether it be 12 mbps, 30 mbps, or even 100 mbps.

Viasat has demonstrated on numerous occasions that when the network isn't busy, they are willing to give us more than we pay for. One guy even reported speeds of 140 mbps on the platinum plan, yet he is only paying for 100 mbps.

When the network isn't busy Viasat gives us full speed and sometimes more. When the network is busy, Viasat gives everyone the most it can depending on your plan.

Think of it as a water faucet on city water. Water pressure varies depending on the time of day. Viasat is no different.

It's in the choice of words Viasat used in selling the service.  Rather than saying speeds "Up To" it might have been better to say "can go as fast as" which implies the maximum rated speed should not always be expected.

Not trying to be a buzzkill but I can barely load a web page. I do have Liberty 10 but I think even on a Liberty Pass it should be better than this. I was told when I switched from AT&T it would be as fast as the DSL I had. It did pretty good when we first got it over a yr ago now it is awful. I cant do anything on this.

Sorry Julie - This isn't a Viasat test. Viasat will have a latency of 5xx-6xx ms at best. Your connection has a latency of 52 ms.

Halfway between Albany and Syracuse. I have the freedom plan 25mbps. Usually get 30-40mbps in non peak time. It’s 4:45pm and I just tested 26.9 down. Thanks Viasat!

Wow Cindy - I'm happy for you... and a little jealous.  I'm on the Silver 25 plan and get in the teens at best then in the single digits during prime time. However, it is still enough to video stream and get a reasonable browsing experience.
