I am sure there are dealers put there in the know. Unfortunately, they don't post on here much compared to the of forum. And that poster from the other forum, who was a dealer and very knowledgeable, vowed to never come on this site.

To date, I believe there hasn't been a second Falcon Heavy launch.
They ramped up once again once Viasat was able to secure an open slot on the Arianne manifest through sheer luck - the satellite was on the ground in French Guiana when the rocket rolled to the launchpad and ready to go but suffered a further minor setback (weeks) with the civil unrest.
You are fake news... ;)

all that said the company does have some issues and needs to mature, from the outside looking in their customer support model is horrible, the dealers and contractors installing the systems definitely need some work ( not to say there aren't good dealers ) I'm just struggling to find one , hopefully they get the issues straightened out and move on ,

When ViaSat 2 becomes congested, those plans that look like “steals” now, will show their true colors. I personally don’t see a steal in those plans. My unlimited silver 150GB up to 25Mbps looks like a solid deal now, especially since I nabbed the one day offering for $100.
Maybe ViaSat is trying to teach customers the theory of relativity? If you thought your plan was bad, we can make it look good lol.
Looked today. New service is not available in my area.

So what? Nobody is holding a gun to your head and making you buy this service....are they? Matter of fact everyone that hates this service go ahead and quit if you can't get it resolved and go sign up with Hughes and in a short time you'll hate that too. If you want your cake and eat it too you have to go back to town in a stuffy little overpriced apartment or bungalow to get your high speed internet at a price you think reasonable. Nobody owes you nearly free high speed Internet where you can stream movie after movie in HD and not have any slowdowns.

For real, it’s ok to be flabbergasted by subpar plans and outrageous pricing.
Most people use internet for more than streaming movies, but whatever I guess.
Glad you are happy with the way things are going. Now tell your three cats I said hi.

If I'm working for Viasat why am I still getting billed every month? I went from the liberty 12 plan to liberty 25 and now on liberty 50 and with the equipment rental fee I'm paying over $100 a month now. I don't have any complaints because I was on satellite Internet from the beginning and this service is light years ahead from what it was when the first one way systems came on the market.
Nobody is making us sign up for this...it isn't a utility governed by public service laws nor does it have government subsidy to pay them for service to the indigent. They set the prices for different plans on different beams and it's up to me as the end user to choose a plan or to tell them to go jump in the lake and leave in a huff and sign back up with Hughesnet or any other terrestrial option.
If or when a decent wireless option is available to me that exceeds what Viasat can provide then I'll dump them and go with the better option. Viasat does what is best for them balancing long term viability with providing a service that customers want and are willing to pay for and as and end user I decide if Viasat is my best option or not.
Right now it is the best option for me and all the crying and whining in the world over the plans, prices ect will do me as much good as peeing into a stiff wind. It is what it is.

Voicing concerns and complaints about consumer policies and pricing does help change companies. To believe that companies just improve on their own through goodwill is ridiculous. You have the plans you have today because people “demanded” more in the past.

A mind is a terrible thing to lose... as the title suggests.
P.S. FWIW I went through the order process for new customers to gather some added info... eventually I got to the point where help was available for the modem and built-in Wifi.
Clicking on it said the Exede Wifi Modem and not the Viasat Gateway Modem... I'm thing this is becoming a circular firing squad at this point with everyone firing blanks. Needless to say I didn't click place order!

Now if the mythical spot beam was over me like originally projected, I might pay for the 50Mbps. Alas it isn't. I know it wasn't Viasat's intent for the satellite to have issues, but there are issues, and as a result they are having to modify plans to make up for the lost revenue they now won't get from the missing spot beam coverage.
I dont blame Viasat. They are doing what any company must do, adapt to survive. I just think it is a very bad look to have such radical differences in plan features and prices in a small geographic area. It is one thing to charge x in California and y in Ohio. But to charge x in one town and y in another town 10 miles away, tough for a local dealer servicing both towns to explain that one.

This weekend saw some of our large beam releases for ViaSat-2. With this deployment a majority of the country now has the ViaSat-2 options available. While some areas may not allow for current customers to upgrade immediately, this is probably our biggest rollout to date with ViaSat-2.
Pricing, plans and availability will vary by location and are subject to change. What is being shown now are our current plans being offered. If the plans are not as attractive as the plan you currently have you are under no obligation to change plans as you can be grandfathered into your plan and as long as you do not make any account changes (vacation plan, move, etc) you will not be taken off of your current plan. If you'd like a consultation to see the pros and cons I will be more than happy to discuss if you send an email to viasatlistens@viasat.com. Either myself or one of my teammates in the Corporate Social Care Team will answer you.
I do know there's some disappointment with the offerings. Plans and offers do tend to change over time. Anecdotally just a few months ago our classic plans (hard data cap, Late Night Free Zone, no Liberty Pass) were the standard in some places. Now they can get these new plans so to them that might be a major improvement. Of course if say you've been on a high data Liberty Plan or one of our first Unlimited offers, these plans aren't as attractive. You don't have to change. More widespread about this time last year we've seen In a year the Classic Plans transform into Liberty and Liberty now transforming into these Unlimited plans. In addition Freedom is sort of the white whale that will surface every once in a while as some beams become less congested.
Think of it like a rotating menu: These are the offers CURRENTLY but we may have something different in a few months as we get a better feel for how these areas fill up.
