Have had modem for 10 + years. It seems to be dropping in and out lately. Does it need to be replaced/updated?

We have had Wildblue and existing modem for 10 + years. Lately the modem has been going in and out of service and at times I have had to unplug it to get it to work again. Does it need to be replaced or updated?

Quite possibly. Or the tria in the dish is failing. If you never replaced the tria in ten years that certainly could be the case as they have a finite lifespan. Sounds like you need a service call.
