Has anyone tried using Dropcam with Exede in the last year?

Before we got to the newer data rates, I tried drop cam and it simply wouldn't work.  Has anyone tried it with Exede in 2014?  Were you able to see the output on the web pages from remote locations and were you satisfied?  Or should I look for a different security camera solution that doesn't rely on a third party web page?

Thanks, and Cheers to all!

Hi MikeA,

I'm unfamiliar with this service.  Let me do some research and see what I can find out for you.

With other security systems, the video data needs to be transferred to the companies server so that you can view it on their website or with their mobile apps,  the transferring of this data will count against your data.

Please send me an email to exedelistens@viasat.com with your account and contact information so that I can provide you with some feedback.

It is an external site, it's the most popular security cam on the market, and I know it counts against our limit, which sucks eggs.  I'm already paying upwards of $260 per month with my monthly overages, so what's another hundred or so?  ::sarcasm::  But I tried dropcam 2 years ago and it didn't even work with the previous data rates... the satellite was just too slow.  I'm guessing it's still too slow, so it probably won't work.  But I was hoping some other inmate here had tried it with some success.  I won't buy it unless I hear that someone was able to use it.
