Hello Courtney, we have only launched the Freedom plan at this time on parts of the East Coast. We are always working on expansion. Once the package is available we will notify accordingly.

Ok, u say parts of the East Coast, but I was told by a phone representative that people in Arizona, California, and Nevada has it. Idk, but it sounds like you all don't have a clue what's going on. I'm seriously thinking of going back to Hughesnet. I constantly go offline and it takes 3-4 minutes to come back online and this only happens at the beginning of a new data cycle! When I purchase a GB, my Internet works just fine. I've told numerous techs about the problem and that it's been going on for about 4 months, but they can't get it resolved. At least with Hughesnet, when I was online, I stayed online until I reached my data cap!

I saw them mention elsewhere that there is something different coming in March.  New plans, I don't know.  This area, I don't know, sure haven't had much of anything special like some other areas here.  The Freedom plan is only offered in areas where there is extra capacity, as far as I know only in some Exede 12 areas where their newer satellite is pointing (which they only have it covering more urban/densely populated areas).  Haven't looked at the beam map in a couple years, wouldn't know if we are on the same beam, but our area is pretty much full, so no extra capacity to go around.

That said, I have several neighbors and family with both Hughes and Exede in this area.  With the freezone you get a "better deal" with Exede.  Performance wise around here I can't tell ~that much difference, but like I said, I do any downloading I need to before I go over as I don't want to burn through their caps.  And I haven't heard of the issue you are describing with the cutting out.  My guess is something is wrong, which you already know, obviously.  Trouble will be finding someone that can get that taken care of.  They'll tell you to email exedelistens@viasat.com with your details, maybe someone higher up will listen and get it figured out.

Have you checked to see if you qualify for the great gig giveaway if you haven't already, if it's still going on?  It's not much but it's better than nothing.

Don't suppose you are in range of that "regional gsm carrier" (name withheld so it's not considered advertising)?  I've had them about a year and they are actually good here despite me barely being in range, I know they aren't very good in some places.  Most of the neighbors are out of range and still have satellite, I work on their systems, and generally download what I need here before I go over.  Nice having a bigger cap, that's for sure.

Unfortunately I'm not in range and I've already used all my GGG.

Sorry, all I could think of.  I had to get a Wilson booster (about $400) to get it to work for me, no signal in the house otherwise.  A bit much but I suggest the option to anyone I can around here that's in range.  Wish they'd use a better penetrating/range signal and tower.
