Why is your service so unreasonably priced? Why does your service suck? How do you look yourself in the mirror the way you rip people off? Why do you feel the need to screw over your customers that pay faithfully in every possible way? This is not a question but I will add it anyway, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND YOUR SERVICE TO ANYONE!

Lori, you have made some pretty serious charges. I'll bet you were pretty charged up, distraught and agitated when you typed this. I'll bet you were pounding on they keys to relieve your frustrations.

I wonder if this is the way you approach problem solving generally? If so, perhaps you've noticed how difficult problem solving is for you and how fruitless your problem solving attempts have been.

If you really just want want to complain this is probably the wrong place to do so. The people here can answer technical question and help you to understand how the service works.

But that doesn't seem to be what you're in search of. I suggest you reach out to a professional listener near you. Their fee is between $100 and $300 per hour but that person can help you learn some problem solving techniques that might be more fruitful.

For what it is and how we get it where we are, it's an outright bargain.

I used to hear a swoosh noise when I had Comcast years ago, but it doesn't happen with exede, so maybe exede doesn't suck.

It's easy when you never clean the mirror. (see first question's response)

Woa... now hold on.  NOBODY is allowed to pay faithfully in every possible way.  Pet pigs, goats, movie tickets (list can go on and on) are NOT allowed.  Exede only takes US Dollars for payment.

Well, considering you live out in the boondocks, you have nobody nearby to recommend anything to.

If your service seems a bit shy of perfect or doesn't meet your high standards and expectations,  send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com  and include your normal contact information which should include name, account number, phone number if available, and a very, very  brief description of your concerns because as Joe Friday used to say "Only the facts mam."

Historically I used dial up. Terrible is the word. Exede is so much better. They are  no angels but I would not sendc them to hell.

Be sure to state clearly what your issue is!  The more information we have, stated clearly and with examples, the better we will be able to look into your issues!

I was going more for a reality check.  I take a dim view of anyone that has no specific issue they come here for help with.  When all they do is trash Exede, I respond in a manner I hope makes them think twice about what they are saying.  If they get ticked off, that's fine, at least the shoe is on the other foot.

I'm responding to this thread using the Liberty Pass.  I used up my 12gb of priority data.  The key words are "I used up my 12gb of priority data."  It didn't mysteriously disappear.  And the nice thing is, I am still able to browse the web and watch Roku while on the Liberty Pass during primetime.

One thing I have learned in the past 17 years of installing sat internet is that nobody is ever satisfied. I talked to a guy who used to work for our local cable company...he had worked their for several years and I was surprised he had quit. I asked him why. He said he was sick and tired of day after day, people fussing (he used a different word but my Mama taught me not to use such words) about how their internet wasn't fast enough. The SLOWEST speeds they offer is 70mbps.

Can't please all the people all of the time haha. Yeah that happens with Cable as well unlimited internet, amazing speed and it's still not enough for some. For what Exede is (Satellite internet) I think it does a pretty great job and the bar is really going to be set once we release ViaSat 2 plans.

AT&T wanted me to pay $69 a month for 18 meg service that was never 18 meg.  Exede is cheaper than AT&T at $60 a month for Liberty 12 and is pretty dang usable, even when my priority data is used up.

That's pretty cool to hear! We don't actively compete with AT&T directly as some of their DSL plans are unlimited but great to hear that we were the better option in this case

I agree with Andy. There are always a group of people that will complain about the WORST cable, the WORST cell phone service, the WORST internet service, etc.

Know and understand the limitations of satellite internet and deal with them accordingly. It is not like there are a ton of options for rural, high speed internet to begin with!

Here AT&T wants 40/month for 6Mbps service and, that is only available if you live in the city limits or have state highway frontage - otherwise, they install Exede. NewWave is 70/mo for 10Mbps and a 1TB limit, if you are in the city limits or, within 4 miles thereof. Birch offers unlimited for 99/mo at 3mbps to businesses only and, only inside the city limits. Cellular data is 3G in town and, 1X most of the county, with low signal except in town so, that doesn't work either.

I have a feeling that when VS2 comes online, a lot of roofs in town are going to be sporting Exede/Viasat dishes. :)

I changed from Verizon to Exede because I could get a lot more data for less money.  Went from 45mbs to 12mbs, even down to 3 or 4mbs, never a problem.  Still stream Nexfix and others without buffering.  Not sure why people need gobs of speed.  Exede is not just for people with no other options but is an option that can be better.
