Hi Stephanie. You can read this Space News story about our next satellite, ViaSat-2. It's slated for launch next summer/fall. We don't have any information right now on new plans that will come with ViaSat-2 other than to say the plan is to offer higher speeds and better data plans. Stay tuned!

Hi Alex,
It's been six months and I'm just checking in. Any update on launch dates or plans?
Thanks!

I'd anticipate delays dues to the catastrophic launch faliure of the Falcon 9 back in June which has pushed back all SpaceX launches. The good news appears to be that the Falcon 9 Heavy is now tentatively scheduled for Spring 2016; however that's just the demo launch originally scheduled for late this year.

The Falcon 9 Heavy is what will be carrying ViaSat 2 and no word on what manifest that appears on.

Our ViaSat-2 satellite is planned to launch in the fourth quarter of 2016. It'll take a little while after that to get service going.
