Horrible is as good as it gets. We have been with Wildblue/Exede for 9 years only because they are our only option short of moving a mountain or clearing a forest. If you expect to use your internet like your friends and family, you will live in a state of perpetual angst (slowdown). Complaints are defaulted to the "fair access" policy, but if you sound pitiful enough you may get the rep to feel sorry for you and offer complementary time until your meter resets. This works every few months. Your best bet is to peruse the competitors. If you are in line of sight to another company's equipment, you owe it to yourself to have them do a site eval. You could also rent a corner at Starbucks for the price of continuous Exede service.
