Cathrin,

The speed of the internet service may vary due to, amongother factors, network or internet congestion, the number of users in ahousehold at a particular time, the caliber of in-home networking connections, computer performance (including the presence of viruses or malware), thelimitations of different devices (such as a smartphone versus a desktopcomputer) and severe weather. Send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com and we will review your account.

Most internet service providers have datausage caps. A primary reason providers for these caps is that moreconsumers are watching video on the internet. Video uses a lot of bandwidth, and without limits, networks would be overloaded.

In setting our caps,we aim to provide the fastest speed and best quality of service possible --even in the evening peak periods. We set our plans' data usagecaps at levels that fit the majority of internet users.

Exede Diana, could you answer a question for me in regards to your answer above?  I'm not trying to be a smart alec, I genuinely don't know how this works.  I understand network congestion causes some users to have very slow speeds, especially during peak times.  Why is it that some users (me) have snail pace slow speeds while others can stream video?  Some days during peak times I can barely use my email.  I just don't understand what gives some customers priority over others in regards to speed.  How are some streaming while I can't even surf?

Cathrin, first love your picture, we have 3 GSD dogs. Second we have had Exede for 4 years, banking on reps promise of "Coming soon to your area", no limits on your usage, and guaranteed highest speeds available via Sat Internet companies. Bwahahahaha. NOT gonna happen. If we have out of towners visiting, we have ended up paying over $900.00 for extra gbs purchased throughout the month to keep the speeds I need to do my online bookkeeping job. I have never NOT had to buy more gbs each month with minimal 60 yr old couples usage. The term " Suck it up Buttercup" is my Mantra when it comes to Exede.
