When I enter my zip code it states it is available but when I go into my exede, it does not list it as an available plan. Why can some in an area code get it and others not? I have been first a Wildblue customer, then Exede through Dish and now Exede directly for many years. It appears loyalty gets you nothing. I posted this as a comment to another conversation then realized that you prefer a new post for a new question.
When we launch our next satellite in 2017, we’ll have substantially more flexibility in terms of usage and bandwidth across the country. There is no defined timeline for this, so we ask for your patience.
I know the beam covers a large area. That is not the point.
When I go to the Exede home page where is says to input your zip code to see if service is available and what plans are available, it says based on my own zip code that the Freedom plan is available. That would indicate that someone in my own zip code can get Freedom plan. The input on the home page asks for a zip code so you would think that they would have it broken down by zip codes. My point is that then when I go into my personal account it states it is not available. There is a very small amount of my zip code that would even want Exede since most have much better and cheaper options. Based on this it appears that current customers cannot get the Freedom plan in my particular zip code but new customers can.
