Have used up data allowance again before end of month!  Help Center states that "Your speeds and access will return to normal during the Free Zone, even
if you have no data allowance remaining during your billing cycle."   I have tried to access sites, download during free zone time with no sucess!   What is this!?!

Janice,

Sorry you are having issues with going over your data cap and then not getting speeds during free zone.  Before you went over you data cap were the speeds slow too or were you getting fast speeds then?   You should be getting 6-8mbps download i would think during the free zone even if you are over your data policy.  Other option you can send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com and reference this post and your contact info/ account number and they can look and make sure everything is configured correctly on the back side

speedeasy.net is a page full of more links, some mis-spelled.  The one's I went to want me to install a program to do the test.  what else will they install? Anybody's guess, probably ads.

Better choice:  speedtest.net  and do a few test using different servers as some are faster than others.  Just drag the little green square on the map around to change locations and make server choices.

Try speedof.me. It does not use Java or Flash and seems to give a more honest picture of your speed.

I have yet to see any suggestion of a download manager for use with Exede. I know that the nearest competitor (Hughes) does indeed have and suggests a DM.
I would think that Exede would do likewise. Just good business!
I do use one now, after My overage.

Hello Janice, Sorry to hear about your Late Night Free Zone speeds. If you’re experiencing issues during the LNFZ then there may possibly be an internal issue with the modem itself which I would be more than happy to review for you. Please send me an email at exedelistens@viasat.com and reference this conversation. So that I can better assist you, before you send your email can you please get your speed test results from me only during the LNFZ. This would further help us with the diagnosis. We recommend using speakeasy.net. Thank you -Exede Lindsey
