Fraudulent data metering

my 12GB plan lasted three weeks; my 25GB plan lasts less than a week with no streaming.  1000's of others have the same problem.  I have spent over an hour with the call center in Manila trying to change back to the 12GB because I have been able to make that change online for nearly two years.  Manila hung up once. The second time they said the could not change my account plan and someone from corporate would contact me in 3 to 5 business days.  Odd. When I upgraded to the 25GB plan in the spring, there was not problem changing the plan.  Nice business plan. Yes to more expensive upgrades; no to less expensive downgrades.

Hi Jim

There could be many different things responsible: Faster connection causing more usage, Those darn Windows upgrades that appear to be using up data under everyone's noses, we can look at this for you and help you if you email us at exedelistens@viasat.com

When the unlimited plans became available, I immediately signed up.  Before receiving my new modem, I had a change of mind and decided I would like to keep my Liberty 12 plan.

I called Exede and to my surprise, I was able to cancel my request to upgrade to the unlimited plan.  I had no problems with customer support and they didn't seem to be outside of the USA.

Not sure what happened with your call to customer support, but mine was very pleasant.  Frankly, I expected to get the runaround when I changed my mind about switching to unlimited.  Exede customer support surprised me and made the call a pleasant experience.

That's because they're all in Englewood Colorado

Problem solved unlimited data I bought a Straight Talk phone with 15 gigs high speed plus unlimited data. As of now I have used 68 gigs and it has not slowed down even a little bit. I love it I can turn my phone into a hotspot and run 10 devices in my house including 3 laptops doesn't even slow down not even a little bit hecka fast Exede sucks. They shut me off on the 10th of the month because my payment didn't go through because my wife took all of our money to the casino $30,000. Been looking for internet where I live now for 8 years. My wife taking all the money to the casino left me without a phone or Internet. Also my cell phones are being shut off because she took all the money to the casino. Desperate I heard that straight talk comes in a lot of places shares Towers. I thought what the hell. 9 years I've been with Exede and they wouldn't give me a break in fact they sent me a bill. I'm sorry I wasn't late on the payment they wanted their 10-year old modem back and until they got it they were going to suspend my service I had the money to pay them but they wanted their modem so you know what they can bite me they can suck it. I even had a tracking number to give them letting them know their modem was on the way unfortunately it took 5 to 7 days I am not going to pay for their service when they suspend me for the rest of the month. Besides I upgraded from 60 to 150 gigs I went through 75 gigs in 10 hours just to be shut down after having my service for 10 days on the first month. They look forward to you buying those extra gigs Straight Talk unlimited $55 plan 15 gigs they sent me a message saying that it would be Unlimited and disregard to 15 gig part go straight talk love it

"15 gigs high speed plus unlimited data."   So after 15gigs it's low speed data? then slowed to 2G?
Enjoy your cell phone.  I'll keep my home internet service from Exede.

32 gigs with a Samsung phone and then it's like Exede. They "may" cut your speeds as a network management practice. In rural low populated areas where other service is unavailable they don't need to do that much because there aren't as many people leaching the local tower.

So what?  Exede is for home internet, not watching movies on a 4" screen.  Have fun watching movies on your 4"  Samsung screen, I'll stick with watching on my 46" TV.
