Will be interesting to see how slow primetime will get in the next couple weeks. Many of us old timers remember awful speeds a few years ago in December.

In fairness to Viasat, Viasat-2 had serious issues that prevented it from reaching its full potential. For much of the country, Viasat-2 has done nothing.

Those issues, other than citing some antenna failures, were never fully disclosed to my knowledge. An insurance settlement was reached and then silence since. At one point they were going to try and reboot (I’m sure it’s more technical than that), but like I said...silence.

They did get $185 million or so in a settlement.

But now it is on to Mexico.
