So have you seen the cell commercial where they are advertising "Truly Unlimited" plans? Even the providers are now mocking their own definition of "unlimited".

Can't wait for the unlimited unlimited plan!

I have one of those Unlimited cell plans. Well sort of, it is unlimited as long as the tower is not too busy and, it's 4G LTE and, it isn't roaming. Otherwise it's 22 GB per month and 100MB roaming data. (Yes Megabytes) and, they call that Unlimited.

Okay so I might use more than 22 GB if I can do so at below dial up speed, and, not at all on anything except 4G. 3G no work, Extended no work at all.

Oh and the darned plan (5 lines) cost me nearly 400/month. Now, that makes my Viasat Unlimited Silver look pretty good. :)

Cricket runs on AT&T towers and you can get four lines for $100 a month.  I believe you can add a fifth line for another $25.

If AT&T works in your area it is a steal.

That includes phone leases for four phones. Sprint iPhone Flex lease actually. AT&T doesn't work at my house, works in town but, no signal out here. Sprint gets 1 bar indoors and 2 bars LTE if I go out side by the garden.

Besides, I'm a loyal customer, been with Sprint 18 years. (Wildblue/Viasat 14 Years because that's how long they have been available here.)

That's pretty impressive that Sprint works in a location where AT&T doesn't.

Of course it all just depends on where you live I suppose. I have lots of dead zones on my Sprint company phone. It's a nice feature to have a work phone that doesn't always have reception.

Hughesnet "unlimited" has a plan with 10GB of priority data. That is even more ridiculous than 22GB.
I wouldn't mock HughesNet too much with the plans Viasat is coming out with lately.

Cell service is almost comical around here. RJ, My granddaughter gets 3 bars LTE in her math and English class at school but, isn't allowed to use the phone there. Just across the cafeteria in her free period class, where she could use the phone, she has no signal. LOL.

Phone does talk and text only inside my house, 20 feet out the back door and, it has LTE, 5 feet out the front door and it has no service at all, 30 feet out the fornt, it has Extended, another 50 feet down the road, 3G, around a bend, no service, another block Lte, then gone next block.

I think I live near you Steven - lots of dead zones but, tiny ones.

Lost the web from about 0245 until 0310 May 10, 2018. Did I win the lotto for outages? Mobile PCS claims unltd 4g LTE. It works in town but not at home of course. TV doesn't come in here and I forget how many miles at $10K per the nearest phone drop is. Thoroughly boxed for any connectivity. This would be after marketing the hell out of bent antennas. Or triple sell to each Icelandic human, dog, cat and yaks. Are you sure it doesn't say, "Up to unltd if and only if (iff) we feel like it?" Now if Viasat would put plans available online for current customers and ability to change back I'd probably quit posting 2kb throttling with pithy remarks on face book and go back to blackjack games. As long as they do not provide a utility it is as it is. $400/mo, YIKES.
