Failure in Data Allowance email notifications

Be forewarned, you may not receive any notice of running out of priority data!

I've always received automatic email notices when my usage hits 70% of allocation for my plan during a billing cycle.  This is useful because I telecommute and this is my work.  So, I back off unnecessary things like streaming audio and Netflicks in the evening.  If we get to close then I have my family back off their usage until the cycle renews.

I noticed really crappy performance in a web conference with a client yesterday.  Because I'd not received any notifications from Viasat, I assumed it was on my end.  I bounced all my hardware, but things did not get better.  When I couldn't even load, I logged in to Exede and found I'd already busted 150G.  NO WARNING.

I know this is a courtesy, but it is a customer service that doesn't cost them anything.  I'm so damned frustrated right now.  In previous data overages I've purchased additional data.  I guess I'm going to have to set calendar events to monitor the usage because they have either stopped providing this bit of customer support or their automated email notification service is broken.

Viasats new app will keep you informed of your data usage.  May be a little handier on your phone.

And probably why I check my Dashboard via my PC every other day or so to see where I am sitting.
