extreme usage on plan

I have the freedom plan and had to pay an extra $100 for overages last month.!! now we are using 7gbs a day???????? 2 laptops only connected on wifi, no other people, no other appliances connected...no netflix etc (a luxury we can no longer enjoy on exede....)  what the heck is going on!! ?????????   exede site down for maintenance at the mo so no idea what horrendous usage occured yesterday! please someone HELP!!

Exede does not have overage charges.  Without knowing more, my wild guess would be that the extra 100.00 was some kind of proration charge for service you either just started or changed.  If you email exedelistens@viasat.com with the question you posted here, they can tell you exactly what that 100.00 was for.

I can think of several ways that 7 GB a day can be burned in your situation, starting with out of control windows 10 on either of both of those laptops.  Do you by chance have windows 10 anywhere?  Another thing I can think of is an errant DirectTV "genie."  However, without again knowing more, I can't say what exactly is burning data on your end, just that it is happening on your end.
