Extreme slow download and upload speeds

We are well within our data allowance, weather is perfectly clear with no clouds, it is the middle of the day when there are not many people using the system and I am consistently getting 3.3 or 3.5 mbps upload and download speeds. This is ridiculous.

Hi E,  I would like to review your account and figure out why your speeds seem to be so slow. It may be to congestion,based on the time of day you are using it. During the times of heaviest usage on the network — usually from about 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. — your Liberty Pass speeds will be much slower than at other times of the day.

I am paying for 25 down. Tonight's speed test by Viasat is 0.50. I have had this service for 3 weeks. My speeds are almost always very slow. Is my wifi modem bad?

There are problems with some WiFi modems, at least the WiFi section. Many on this forum have just plugged a separate wireless router in one of the Ethernet ports on the Exede modem and their speeds increased by a bunch.

Daniel, we have no way of checking that here because this is a public forum. You can call 855-463-9333 or, email your account and contact information to exedelistens@viasat.com and ask them to see why you have slow speeds.

If you are a Freedom subscriber and have used all of your data for the month, please wait until you have data available to see if your speeds improve.
