Extra 5 GB per month makes all the difference

I received 30 GB extra to use as I wish, and putting the 5 GB on top of my purchased 15 GB plan for which I pay $79 a month seems just about right.  I hope this continues and if it does it seems to be a reasonable plan.  15 was just too "tight" to monitor.  The Page to monitor seems to track fairly well here in Maine.  Thanks

Hi Bobby glad to see you received the needed help. Are they going to give you the extra gigs every month? Just wondering.

I'm not sure if it will repeat, but I was offered 30GB to use as I wish, so I am taking it in 5 GB increments, added to my 15 GB plan, for 6 months at least.  Maybe by then they'll see it is a good plan to continue.  Hoping.  Thanks Bobbie

Great I'm glad this worked out for you, I told you the other day this takes a bit of time but generally can come to a happy ending.

Kimberly, please email me again, pabobfin@yahoo.com as I lost your email.  I would like 5 GB in March, but none in April, going away again for 6 weeks, will get 5 extra in June.  Regards

I would like to inquire on extra gigs. Can you please advise on the new unlimited plan that is being offered to new customers. I am confused.

Wendy,

You may send an email to one of the Exede moderators at exedelistens@viasat.com along with your contact information to inquire about the Great Gig Giveaway, see if you're eligible and request it. The Great Gig Giveaway is aimed at soothing the ruffled feathers of existing subscribers, which occurred with new plans introduced in August 2014.

One of those plans is the "virtually unlimited" Freedom plan. Originally it was offered to new customers on a few spot beams having excess capacity. It since has been extended as an upgrade option to existing customers on some of those same spot beams. Again, an Exede moderator can determine if you are eligible to upgrade.

Naturally, many view this plan as evidence that ViaSat is currently capable of providing everyone with "virtually unlimited" plans or greater data caps, but that's true only on selected spot beams. You've already provided evidence that this is not practical in your other post at:

https://community.exede.com/exede/topics/some-please-explain-data-leakage-patch-issues

Virtually everyone would probably upgrade if given the opportunity, further exacerbating the problem you describe there except probably 24/7/365.

Each spot beam has a fixed capacity determined at the time the satellite was launched, and the only way around that will be with the new satellite launch in 2016.

I Really hate that the company is having these problems., I had a terrible experience with the installation. I scheduled appt 4 noon but he came at 9am. My construction crew was working and he talked to me on the phone. I would have never let him put my modem on the top shelf of my new custom wood Closet . (9ft up ) We had to redo stain and the plug was Behind shelves leaving cords stretched across blocking access. He left with out telling me, Said he would be back he had something to do.He never came .when I told he became a threat calling 2 be hateful.I had to move computer and set up wifi .Which was difficult because I have 2Rods& 4 screws in my Back. I tore my ACL as I hyperextend knee when I had to reset modem.
I was not happy.
I called,explaining my situation .I unplugged it for 2months.
I am telling all this because after all this I decided to keep Exede . The company had outstanding professional customer support..I Everyone I talked to went above and beyond to make it Right. I believe that this is a temporary issue and hopefully it will be resolved ASAP.
THIS TO SHALL PASS⛅️☀️ I need a company that does not give me anxiety when I have to call!
