I pay over $400 a month for internet service because we own and run our business online, out of our home. I am more than pleased with the speeds we have and the uptime we enjoy. Our actual residential plan is $129 a month, but we eat up a lot of additional bandwidth during our workday - no way around it. It's not uploading and downloading, it's necessary streaming activities, to the tune of around 40GB total bandwidth a month.

So, I was on with customer service and I questioned whether there was a business account to be had. I was told yes, there was (it was in beta, I was told, but my zip code was in the available service area), and that I could call 855-863-6566 to talk to someone regarding the business account, and transferring our residential account over to a business account, etc.

At the same time, I was online looking up "Exede Business Account" to see if I could glean any information from the 'net. Found the page athttp://www.exede.com/business, and took a look. Called the above number, and talked to someone in residential, who told me there was no business plan. When I argued, stating that I was, in fact, LOOKING AT the business page online, she got a supervisor who instructed me to go to http://wildblue.net and look at Business Solutions at the bottom.

Clearly, this was not what I was looking for.

So I call the customer service number on the Exede business plan page (855-313-4111) and *again* reached the residential customer service reps who weren't sure there was a business plan. After 17 minutes, I am still on hold with them, as they are trying to find a supervisor who is familiar with the business services that, at this point, Exede may or may not have.

FINALLY get someone on the line who is supposedly in the business division. They ask if I can hold while they pull up the information. I do, and they then read to me the information from the very same page that I am looking at online. I explain to them that I, too, can read the page and get the very same information, but that I need MORE information than what is currently on the page, and I then explain to them that if they click on the "Plans & Pricing" tab, they will see at the bottom "Don’t see what you’re looking for in these plans for your business? Give us a call and we can discuss other options with you! 855-863-6566." I explain that it is the "other options" that I need to discuss with someone (at this point, ANYONE).

I am then told that the business plan is only available in three cities, and I attempt to explain that I have already discussed this at length with another service rep, and that my zip code does, apparently, qualify for the elusive business beta plan. CSR does not like this answer, and puts me on hold, yet again. Another ten minutes passes.

At this point, I'm not givin' up. I refuse. I'm no quitter.

CSR comes back to tell me that she is attempting to get someone from the business sales department to give her information on the business plan. (Shouldn't someone IN the business division already have this coveted information? One can only hope.) I ask if maybe I could actually TALK to someone in business sales, but am cut off and put back on hold. Thirty minutes in, now.

She comes back, and I politely demand to be put through to business sales. I am put back on hold, but not before questioning whether she is or is not in the business division. Then she tells me that they are universal operators, and there IS no residential or business division.

She just came back and told me that the business website is inaccurate, and that the business service is only available in three cities in three states in the US. What those three are is anyone's guess as I was put back on hold after I asked that question.

At this point, I'm just staying on the line so I can finish up this story for y'all.

But, I was just cut off/hung up on, so there you go.

EXEDE, YOU'RE GOING IT WRONG, DUDES.

I am very interested in a business account also. How was the response from ExedeKarmin?
