Exede Voice time incorrect

Exede has FAILED time and TIME again, to keep the CORRECT Time zone on the VOIP..I have had to CALL Tech support well over 9 TIMES now..the cost of Exede may be better, but as far as accuracy in keeping up with MY TIME in NW Tennessee ( which is Central Daylight Savings time) ( NOT INDIANA time, which does NOT accept "Daylight Savings" time) as shown on my cordless Phone? FORGET it!! I have unplugged the phone, jack, Modem, Power to phone, and rest the time REPEATEDLY..NOTHING WORKS! Hughesnet had NO Problem with THEIR VOIP program in keeping my time on my phone Straight...BUT Exede has some kind of PROBLEM, sticking my time zone either in Outer Mongolia, or somewhere in the Balkans..I was actually TOLD by a Cust. Service VOIP Rep. to "Get a New Phone".

Does your phone not maintain the correct time when you manually set it?

You can email your account and contact information to exedelistens@viasat.com and ask them to see why the time is not accurate. I'm sure they can explain that for you.

Thanks Bev.. I have done that NINE TIMES now..(Called Customer service for VOIP)..they keep re-setting it & Resetting it.. within a Minute or two it reverts back to some weird time zone, like if it 1pm here, my phone show 11pm, .. I GUESS... in Outer Mongolia

The Exede people here and, at that email address (same people) can look at your account. For some reason it seems not to know where you live. I think they can get it fixed for you.

Exede IS Aware of the Problem..They'd BETTER be, I have contacted them more than 10 times about this Time problem.. + No it's NOT on Greenwich Mean time..It's seems it for Outer Mongolia or ??

Probably shouldn't post your address and phone number publicly on the board. Might want to edit your post there.

As for the problem, i would lean to something not setting right in your modem where it loses a location setting or sonething. Maybe need an equipment swap out.

 I can not speak first hand about the voip.
I can report about magic jack - it is under $40 a year and has many services, but the time zone sticks at the Easter time zone as that is where they are.
 I have been using magic several years from home and abroad.
the same no service fee calls to the US and Canada, caller ID, answering service
 *of course the time is wrong as it is Eastern, but its under $40 a year and can be run from any network using my laptop. So I can call from Seattle or places in California and the persons I call think I am home to return the calls. :)
 the messages go to my email which I can listen to and effectively screen out those Id rather not talk with ;)

 and it works.

My VOIP is with Vestalink and it has never given me a problem with the time zone.

I have just noticed your post. My problem with Exede Voice is similar but not the same. I set my phone system time (I am on EST) and every time I receive a call the time is rest to 5 hours ahead.
The tell me the Exede system is set up to EST but it keeps on resetting my phone time. Something definately wrong at their end .....yeah I was told to buy a new phone system too (Vtech, my phone,  is one of the most common phone systems in the country!!!).
