For a short while I believe there was an Exede (beta test?) site (with a different name) that would allow you to login and check speed, reboot the modem online, see what devices were connected etc. I can't find it now - is it still available?

For security reasons, you might want to remove the last part of your URL you posted here (the part after "index.php?").  I don't think that you want any hacker to know the MAC address of your Exede modem.

Apparently, the forum only gives you so much time to edit your posts.  In that case, I would recommend getting a moderator (e.g. Exede Brad) to do the edit for you.

The link you want is https://myesvt.exede.net/eSVT

The one posted by Mr. Blount won't work for you because it contains the MAC identifier of his modem, and your password won't work for that.  When you go to the link I include here, the system will fill in the rest with your own modem's MAC.

Nicholas Wilson has the right Exede address. myesvt.exede.net/eSVT has lots of good information on it.

We're working on a fancier version of this that'll look a lot nicer. More news as it comes ...

What I like about the current version is that I can see what my account looks like from Exede's point of view.  I would want to keep that feature.

How about showing us the software release level of the Modem firmware in this tool? that would be very useful.

Thanks Steve, there it is. coolio. ( btw, I am behind and since nothing bad is happening w/my connection hope to plan on staying behind! )

I would expect the customer service reps to have the same information. Perhaps they do; this tool doesn't exactly mirror what they have although the intro / terms of use said it was close.

The reason I think it would be useful to present this data on this tool is because I suspect some of the more sophisticated customers would be checking there for info about wide-spread slowdowns.

For example the recent spate of "why is it suddenly slow" complaints would lead me to compare modem firmware levels with my peers.

so, the modem page - what are good numbers for the various Sat connectivity metrics?

RxSNR above 6.0, above 8.0 is better. It gets lower as the cloud cover thickens.

Cable Resistance should be less than 4.0 Ohms

Cable Attenuation should be on the lower end, but it doesn't seem to affect the connection if it is a bit higher. This appears to be a calculated number, and varies a lot.

On the TRIA page, all the check marks should be Green
