Unhappy with speed

. I have not been over my data cap but my speed is always below 1.00 every night After 6 0 clock pm. What is the sense in having it? If you don't take the speed limit off I will give you the worst publicity you can get in this area. I know for a fact it can be done cause the first two months was good with the 150 plan then it went to crap. You make the first few months good so we will tell our family and friends so they will get it.But that also works after the fact. Send this to the managers and president of the company I don't care just get it done . I have had enough!

They don't care either.. I've been down this road. Good Luck. At least you have the 150 plan , I don't get offered that plan . I pay 60 dollars for 10 g , take it or leave it

i basically was lied to by my local sales rep that after i reached my data cap was told on 3 different occasions that i would default to a 5meg download speed. Well not only was that not true but my
contract and paperwork states 1-5 meg but guess what I often only get around 1/5 of a meg which i think is a breach of contract and am going to contact my lawyer  have my service terminated. DISHONEST COMPANY REPS JUST LIKE THE GOVERNMENT!

By the way *one* TECH was honest enough to tell me that THIS (my experience) is just how it is!  thank god i spoke to one honest person in this deal. I wish I could do this to my customers and get away with it. He may get fired if the company finds out.

Already been their and done that. Tech tells me my issue is common and nothing can be done about it other than pay for a larger plan. PERIOD! but thanks anyway.

Went through all the firmware updates and checks.  Just a matter of being throttled. 

Misled from the start TALKED WITH SALESMAN ON 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS EXPRESSING AT LENGTH MY concern AND my prime need for at least 2 meg download speed after initial data plan usage. Each time he
told me that my download speed would be 5 MEG so I signed up and dropped my other carrier.

Well not only was that not true after reading the contract upon completion of the dish install I see a reference to my plan that once I use my plan data ,speed would revert to "1-5 Mbps" and that also is not the case as I have discovered by talking to techs in my trouble calls with 1/4th and 1/5th of a MEG download speed . In the end ONE honest tech finally came clean and told me that is just the way it is . Bottom line is IF I HAD JUST TAKEN A MOMENT TO READ ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND IT'S SERVICE I WOULD HAVE RAN AWAY >. But I did not and now am paying a couple thousand dollars for my error in judgment.

It tells you to read your agreement before you agree to it.  Sounds simple but seems to be very difficult for a lot of people to do.

No, just a VERY happy customer, like hundreds of thousands of others.  You say you read your agreement?  Then you understand why you don't have unlimited internet.

actually my issue is not with unlimited data to which u do not seem to understand. Not sure what
your download speed gets reduced to when you use up your data plan. Would you be open to
sharing that info?   If not i understand.  my contract states "1-5" megs.

Didn't say unlimited. Just want what they advertise I get 150 g @ 12 mbps and 5-1 in congested time

 Hi ggg rt,   Are you using a router?  How many devices are connected and are you using more than one device at a time?  This will affect your speeds as well.

no router and only 1 computer. Thanks for your help but I am over it now. Gotta move on 
and chalk it up as another learning experience. Life is too short to for all of this. I do know that you really try to help. thanks again

It would be good to have/require all sales reps have the customer initial a form as to what
they were told about data/bandwiith/throttling,ect and much of the negative reviews could be reduce greatly I believe. My salesman blatantly LIED TO ME as we went over
my expectations and concerns in great detail on 3 different occasions and why I would not have the problems that I now have, which are much worse than with my previous provider.

I do agree with you that sales reps can give bad info, either intentionally or because they don't fully understand the fine print.  But people need to question something that seems too good to be true.  Nobody would buy a higher and more expensive data package if they were going to get 1-5 mb speeds 24/7 without some kind of sanctions.  Another issue is congestion on certain beams.  This is getting worst in large part because SpaceX, the launch vehicle that Exede was to use, exploded and has caused delays for all launches with SpaceX.. Exede switched to another launcher and will get it's satellite up in a few months.  This is why they are enforcing there data policies much tighter than in the past.  It's unfortunate, but launching a satellite is hard and Exede has no control of rockets blowing up.
