How screwed is Exede? When social media has its say, I feel sorry for the employees who have to succumb to the CEOs in Exede to not exceed in the internet world. They will be looking for a job. I cannot keep my local stores as My Local Store.  My local store is not in Sandersville, GA 31082 but in NC, but I continuously have to change that. Don't even bring up bandwidth. At least Comcast and Verizon  have unlimited access.  If Direct TV joins up with AT&T maybe they'll offer a better internet solution then the crap I have now.

Hi Salvatore, I can certainly understand your frustration with the need for larger packages for your data needs. We are constantly looking to improve service for all our customers. I’m sure we will have additional packages in your region sometime in the near future. You’re more than welcome to check http://www.exede.com/ for updates to new packages. When our new satellite is up within the next year or so, the satellite may possibly free up more space as well to allow for new packages. If you have any further questions please feel free to send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com. Thank you

With satellite internet there is no way for stores know to your location like with wired internet. They try guessing and guessing badly usually instead of just asking your location. This is the stores fault not Exede.

As far as the data issue, you're trying to compare satellite internet to wired internet. You can't. Wired internet can just add new capacity as needed. Their capacity as such is virtually unlimited.

With satellite internet every byte of data is routed back and forth through a satellite 22,500 miles above the equator that cost 1/2 billion dollars, a couple years to get up and has a limited capacity that is set and can't ever be increased.

If you have a choice of wired internet you probably shouldn't be on satellite internet. If you're like me without any other choice but satellite for internet, be thankful it's there as without it we would have no internet.

Yup. I've given up trying to even have issues addressed anymore. I just leave reviews on customer satisfaction websites / Satellite review forums about the service I've experienced, along with screen shots of speed tests of what to expect from Exede's "high speed" internet. Hopefully it'll serve as a warning to other consumers to avoid getting roped into a 2 year contract with this "provider".

Hi David, my son called and complained. He is an IT guy and they told him, their waiting to put up another satellite. That's the way it is for all PC related electronics. They sell and advertise before they actually fix problems. "Lets sell it first and fix things as they come up." Let's put up 1 satellite and when it can't handle the demand or lack of it, we'll put up another one when we have the money. How sad.
