Exede not working during LNFZ

My Exede service was completely useless last night during the LNFZ. At around 1:30 AM pages started not loading, VOIP stopped working, even Google's main page wouldn't load. The modem status showed that everything was fine and connected. Tech support said it was due to heavy congestion. I tried again at around 7AM and still nothing was working even though the modem status page showed everything in the green. If congestion is indeed the problem, then Exede needs to eliminate the LNFZ for beams that are full or over capacity. I've been with Exede since the start and have really noticed a downgrade in performance the last few months. I'm no longer a satisfied customer.

I'm in Northeast GA and noticed its not been up to par for the last two days. However, today's been pretty good.

I just checked my speed -
ping 678ms
down 13.65Mbs (can't complain about that)
up 3.81Mbs

Ever once in a while there is a hiccup but I'm pretty happy. Hopefully you be back up and running shortly.

I would be happy to check into your LNFZ for you and make sure everything is set like it should be. Please send me an email to exedelistens@viasat.com and I can get started.

Exede Emerald, my LNFZ is fine as I am not dapped. Just in the last couple of weeks or so there have been several nights where It's been basically unusable between around 1AM and 7AM. Like I stated in the first post, the guy I spoke to with tech support said it was due to heavy congestion. If that's the case then something has to be done to improve the service during those hours. I think the likely scenario is that there was an outage or technical problem on my beam that he didn't know about. When I tried it later this afternoon everything was back to normal.

I agree with fmj77 and also Bsweep. On Sunday morning this week around 0800 EST I had the same non loading pages and VOIP stopped working, while the modem upload & download lights were flickering away as normal. Just nothing would complete loading. This lasted for over an hour and a half so I called support.

Yes I had rebooted my systems and my router and my modem and no the page loading had not improved. "try waggling your ethernet cables......really!". All I actually wanted to know was there an outage in my area? "No". Is there heavy congestion right now?,  "No" but that answer sounded vague like perhaps she can't tell that. Anyway while the call progressed the pages started loading so I said thanks and let her go.

Why am I writing all this? Well I have been a Wildblue/Exede customer for a few years now and the Sunday morning issue I mention  I have noticed for shorter periods in recent weeks and reading other user entries on this forum it seems that others are starting to see the same.

To plagerise Bsweep  "Ever once in a while there is a hiccup" but I do hope Exede gets on top of this before it become a habit. An Internet outage of over an hour during prime time is not acceptable ...especially when you have entrused Exede with your phone system too.

Please keep your finger on the pulse Exede.
