They also took 140.68 twice out of my account on 12/04/17. I called and called and still haven't gotten it put back into my account. I paid the first bill but they double charged it. The first man I talked to was very nice but somehow we were disconnected. The second time. I called back the lady was so very rude and continuously kept putting me on hold forever. She was just wantining me to hang up I think. I asked her to let me talk to someone else a manager or anyone that could help to put my money back on my card because I am disabled and have to have my money to pay all my bills every month and she put me on hold again and after about 45minutes of being on hold they literally hung up on me. Still haven't gotten my money back on my card..awful way to treat a disabled person and take advantage of as well... so upset by ths...

They did this to us once and my family nearly went hungry for weeks thatnk's to their mistake so I learned my lesson and put them on a Pay As You Go Debit card. There is never more on the card than what my service cost's. This way when they mess up I don't pay for it.

Not being a Smart Alec, but if that really happened and you almost went hungry for WEEKS, maybe you need to take a serious look at your choices in life and take care of you and your family first before you spend money on a luxury item like internet.

Think before you speak. My family always comes first. I am my mothers caregiver and she lives on a fixed income. I am not payed for her care and what little extra we bring in is over the internet. The internet is our lifeline. It's how I earn and pay bills and keep on top of her medical. Your internet maybe a luxury but that doesn't mean it is for everybody else.  A lot of families are one crisis away from starving. That doesn't mean they make bad choices. Some folks are dealt bad hands and they have to work with what they are dealt. What a foolish response from a "Champion" seriously. Nobody deserves to be overcharged and everybody's living situation is different.

Sorry, I don't buy that.  You have decided to make the internet your "lifeline".  You have decided that is the route you want to take to make income and keep on top of medical stuff.  The internet is a luxury, it's your choice if you want to make it your necessity.  I wonder how people survived before the internet?  I think they did just fine.

because places gave out paper job applications, paper billing, and would actually take payments of cash, money orders, ect.   now if you do not have a credit card or internet you are pretty much sol. so yea it is a necessity not a luxury. even exede only has "paperless billing"  how would you pay that exede bill without internet?

I really don't care what you buy. My choice was to stay and care for my invalid mother when my father took his life and left her in the middle of nowhere with nobody to care for her. You don't know everybody's battles so don't sit up on your high horse looking down your nose at people. It's a long way down and you might find yourself knocked off one day. As a PC tech the Internet quit being a luxury to me many years ago. Without it we would have been in a world of hurt many times. Silly me though for expecting my ISP to bill me fairly and not cause a string of overdrafts at our bank. I should just be a corporate slave like you. I wasn't even trying to knock the company as they have been my ISP for 8yrs but rather give advice as to how to handle their billing. All I have left to say to you is that you are real piece of work and your choice of words as a champion reflect negatively on Viasat.

they don't care about customers or what they think , is that not obves? as long as they can  get that bank account they are good. I even have a recorded phone conversation of a rep saying that. why you think they change their name so much?

Outside of the recent change from ViaSat to Viasat (note the subtle change in capitalization and the intent being to place less emphasis on the satellite sector of its business - they do much more), it has always been Viasat since founded in 1986.

Viasat acquired Wildblue Communications in December 2009 and continued to offer that service as Wildblue.

Viasat launched its own consumer broadband service in 2012 under the brand name Exede.

The lastest change to simply Viasat branding was to eliminate much of the confusion over branding not only for satellite services but other vertical markets  - there never was a company called Exede - just like Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Wheaties, etc. are brands offered by General Mills. You know very little about marketing... brand dilution can be a problem in some industries. Quick... who makes Chex?

Anyone paying attention and those who remove the tinfoil hats have always known the company as Viasat.

While I have my own complaints against Viasat, they are based on at least some substance. You're conspiracy theories without any backing, James, have grown tiresome.

James is always good for a laugh.  He has a few screws loose, so everyone needs to enjoy his posts but don't believe his ramblings. If you follow his posts, you will see that everything and every company he has dealt with is out to get him. Sad way to live your life but it makes for good entertainment for us.
