Viasat is evil because they won't let me pay my bill with Bitcoin.

One of these days I'm going to have to do some serious research into cryptocurrency, and figure out what it's all about.

I made fun of Bitcoin back when it was worth a dollar a coin.  Back then it was super easy to mine them.

I've regretted making fun of Bitcoin for about five years now.  Oh well.  Viasat is still evil!

I'll stay cautious of it.  I saw the Nasdaq go to 1/2 the value of the Dow back in 99-00 and wondered where all that money came from.  Jump to '01 and we see the great dot-com crash (as it's been called).  Whoever had all that money in the Nasdaq cashed out after suckering millions of regular people to invest.

I see a similar thing happening again and wonder where all that money is coming from.  I am of the opinion that it is the Federal Reserve Bank that did the Nasdaq thing and may be at it again.  They are the only entity on earth with that much capital to swing things as fast and as far as they are going (again).  There again, it may have all been done by a Saudi prince that just paid about 450 million dollars for a painting the other day.

Please slow Stephen’s Liberty Pass speeds to what mine were. He could then make productive posts (or have fun trying to post at all).

Let's see. Hughesnet Launches a superior satellite to viasat 1 and exede starts losing customers. Investors start discussing selling off viasat stock and not further investing in viasat because it seems like an unstable market. Viasat increases it's potential speed and it's data caps in order to 1 up hughesnet and attempt to maintain its customer base. Viasat thru exede was commended by the FCC for providing service at or above the 12 mbps speed. Now it has over sold it's capacity on the Average beam and has trouble even getting in range of it's advertised speeds. Why oh why would any customer complain about practices like this? It simply doesn't make any sense.

How exactly is the Hughesnet satellite superior to Viasat-1 when it is based on the stolen technology that was used to build Viasat-1?  Please tell me why.

BTW...I have some Bitcoin and I still don't understand it.  I know it is worth a lot more than when I bought it, but I am not really sure what I can spend it on anyhow!

To the best of my knowledge it was Gen4 that was based on viasats  proprietary technology. Hughesnet has doubled it's speeds in it's entire foot print and increased it's data caps significantly as well. Since it's Gen5 dish has come active its been gaining subscribers while at the same time viasat has been losing them.

Gen 5 = Gen 4 in terms of structure and technology.  It's more of the same so to speak.  If you look at the latest Viasat plans, they are basically as good or better than Gen 5 already.  That won't be the case with Viasat-3, once those plans are publicly revealed.

The new Viasat plans on paper are better than hughesnets how ever in practice they aren't. The new viasat plans where in response to subscriber losses. Losses of customers specifically to hughesnet. Although With ATT expanding fixed wireless they took a few as well. Maybe when Viasat 2 comes out they will have a better QoS. But right now it sucks.

Yes.  But whatever happened to the Bitcoin Bowl?!?!?!  Now that was a bowl game sponsor.

But guys, just wait until our bill spikes by 100% (I hope those people that don't monitor their bills won't be surprised) once we get pro football from Mile High Viasat Field!

Mile High Viasat Field!
I'd..... be ok with that, actually.  Maybe I'd be able to afford Broncos tickets!!! (but, umm, next season...)
