Equipment fees

I would like to know how to purchase the equipment, as paying $9.99 a month is quite pricey and have been paying this for years! I could purchase the equipment and save a lot of money. Please advise on how to lower the billing due to equipment fees? Thank you.

That is not an option for customers...leasing is your only option..

Wm4bama is correct. At this time there's not a 3rd party purchase option like what you would find with DSL or Cable. Currently the ONLY modem that works with our service is the one we have created and encoded to work with our service

My understanding is that, every so often, Exede also rolls out upgraded equipment to its customers and, were a customer to have purchased the equipment, that customer would have to purchase the new equipment all over again to get the upgrade.  However, with a lease, Exede would simply replace the old equipment with the new equipment at no extra charge.
