After having no choice living in the country and our local service didn't run out this far so I decided to go with both services. Now I'll be getting rid of both Direct TV and Exede Internet. The worst EVER..Our local cable and internet has finally came. Thank God

Clavin, that is good that you now can get a ground based service.  However, when you say that you referred to both Direct TV and Exede Internet. The worst EVER" is a bit extreme, since for those of us in the country, we have only two choices for internet, and two sources for TV. Local cable service would be my supplier of choice if it were available, but after waiting over 20 years for TWC to serve that additional mile just has not happened yet.

Steve - You know it's funny.  When I built my house, the electric company put in one mile of poles and wire to reach my house.  The phone company trenched in about 1/2 mile.  None of that cost me a thing.  And yet I would gladly pay more per month for my DSL or FO Internet than I do for electricity (and 3 times what I pay for my phone).

Difference there is the government says they have to provide you with those 2 but sadly they don't make companies provide you with internet.

Exede doesn't live up there expectations! 12Mb a sec my butt, I'm lucky to get 5Mb in "non peek time" then when I go over my data 6 days in to the month I get less than 1Mb a sec Down. Clearly said in the "CONTRACT" I got after I started my service 1-5Mb a sec on Liberty time and up to 12Mb a sec on Premium time. Ya haven't even gotten close. Then congestion? WTF If you can only give what you advertise half of the time you need to not advertise 12Mb. I also shouldn't get charged premium time in non peek times if I can not reach the advertised speeds.

Big Bix, send an email to the moderators at exedelistens@viasat.com. These are not the speeds you should be getting. These folks are Exede employees and have access to many tools for troubleshooting your system. Include your account number and a phone number and they will get with you.
