Download Speeds

Since yesterday I've been getting very slow speeds. I use Internet Download Manager and have been getting below 1 mgps. I'm trying to re-download a chess game and on the Internet Download Manager it is saying an average of around 100kbps. That is very slow. All this started yesterday. I live in Tennessee and at first I thought it was the weather. It was raining all day yesterday and I decided to wait before I posted. It just cleared up this afternoon. I'm on the Unlimited with the 150gbs and I had to re-install Windows 10 and didn't backup anything. It would take an hour to re-download that chess game. It's 570 Mbytes and shouldn't take so long on Unlimited. What's going on?

Which beam are you on Patrick? I'm in Tennessee as well considering Viasat. Thinking I would be on 327 if I get stuck on Viasat-1

I called the 855 number to get it troubleshooted to see what the problem was. I ran a couple of speed tests it seems to be resolved. I'll try to be more careful on backing up my stuff in the future, so that I don't have to re-download it.

No, I won't do that. I need to get an external hard drive so I can back stuff up with.
