I'm getting Download :: 14.2 Mbps 1.8 MB/s,  Upload :: 725 kbps. I have a silver plan and have used less than half of my data.

Is there some problem with the network?

I am on the Freedom 150 - 12Mbps plan. I typically get download speeds in the 15 to 18 Mbps range, with upload speeds averaging 0.5 Mbps. Up until 2 months ago, I was averaging 2.0 to 3.0 Mbps upload speeds, but these have since gone down, strangely, about the time those dreaded unlimited plans were introduced.

I am hoping that once VS2 opens up to customers that the upload speed will go back up. It is not really a big problem, as I don't do much uploading anyhow.

Hi Steve - I have the  Freedom 150/25 plan and I get download speeds of around 21Mbps on down to 8 Mbps prime time.  But my upload speeds has also dropped in the last couple of months to 1 Mbps or less.  Also a couple months back I added an Asus A1300 router in place of using the one in the Viasat combo and I wonder if that could affect my upload speeds. Does sending an upload from your PC or whatever go back through the Asus router and then to the Viasat modem or directly to the modem?

Steve i think you are getting excellent service.  For sat service your download is excellent and I don't know what you are trying to upload but1 to 1.5 Mbps probably is satisfactory for 98 percent of the users.  As Steve F. has stated when V2 comes on line, everyone should see some improvement.

I know the download is good, and said that in the title.

But I don't think uploading at 725kbps is very good, and in fact it has been several times that in the past.

wish mine was that slow, past few months 1mbps max on download and nowhere near that on upload (0.07 upload) regardless of time of day or nite.

I realize it isn't prime time, but i just got 15.2 Mbps down and 2.2 upload, if this was consistent, realizing it isn't 25, i'd be more than a happy camper.

Upload speed is always going to be slower than download.  It is like this with 99% of internet providers.
