Don't not sign up for this service. The customer rep provided incorrect information about data available, and when I call back to cancel my service due to misrepresentation and to go back to listen to the recorded call, they stayed that they're unable to do so due to privacy in the info provided. What the Hell, need less to say I'm pissed. I don't even have the service 24hrs yet and I'm already unhappy.
This is what they do to everyone. I have filed complaints with the FCC and the BBB. I am writing my Attorney General today. Just google Exede Internet and see how many people have complained. We should start a class action suit. I finally have moved so that I could access another internet service. But, they are trying to charge me for early termination and my husband even had to climb on the roof to get some kind of transponder off the dish or they would have charged us for that too. This "service" is ridiculous and I feel sorry for anyone that has it!!!
I have the perfect idea so that we stupid people can "get it together". I mean, there seems to be so many of us!! I met this Exede Rep at a local fair. Asked all the questions, and even questioned his printed info as it did not match what he told myself and my spouse. I think that I will help us all out and attend all the fairs, and other places this company sets up to sell their product. I will stand right next to their booth. When any potential victim comes to their booth, I will pull them away and tell them about this site and my personal experience. Therefore, giving all of the stupid people the ability "to get it together". I am sure that many others would be willing to assist me with this task.
What does voting for Obama have to do with this horrible service??? I don't understand why things always have to come to personal attacks. I am upset with the experience that I have had with this company and have every right to voice my opinion If the service is so wonderful, Bobbie, and you are happy with it, that is great for you. Google Exede Internet and see how many people have been ripped off by them and for a very long time. If you enjoy paying three times as much for your internet than people that don't live in rural areas only to have it "capped" two weeks into the month, more power to you! You are probably one of the executives getting rich off of others misfortune. I have moved to a more populated area and am now paying the same price for tv, phone, security system, and internet that I was paying for two weeks with Exede. The only reason that I am still posting on here is that I want to encourage all of the people being cheated by this company to stand together and make our government change this. When the only competition that a company has is another company that follows the same practices, (Hughes Net) that is not free enterprise; that is a monopoly and what they are doing is not ethical.
I totally agree with these comments! Since upgrading to Exede on 12/31/14, eight days later I was billed for the old Wildblue account which I had been reassured was disconnected on 12/31/14. On 1/8/15, I called customer service to get resolved and the rep disconnected the new Exede account. I called the next day to ask that the old account be disconnected and the new account be reconnected and was told that I would need to wait 2 weeks for refund on the old account, and the only way they would reconnect is if I signed for another account. I was told if I didn't, I would be billed for early disconnect fees. I was on the phone for over 3 hrs--mostly listening to their horrible repeating hold music--trying to get this resolved (still waiting for promised return call from customer supervisor Antonio). This is because their staff member disconnected the wrong account. Unbelievable. Anyone have any advice on who I can talk to for a resolution?
