Do I need to purchase a new satellite dish if I’ve got a dish one already but want to add Viasat internet service? Viasat said I do!?

Yes, you need a separate dish for internet.

Satellite internet requires its own dish so if you already have a dish for TV (like Dish-Network or DirecTV) you will still need the ViaSat dish...TV and Satellite internet dishes have to be pointed at different targets..right now I know of no one that makes a dish that can handle both.

What type of dish do you already have installed?  TV? or Internet?

But you won't have to purchase it. It comes with the installation

Thanks I have dish tv satellite. Didn’t know it’s included in the price.

well we can only answer for Viasat as this is a Viasat forum and I work for them. If you get the internet through Viasat you will get a dish outside, a modem inside. Prices vary by what plan you get and there's a $10 modem fee each month. You can see the plans at www.viasat.com/internet or calling our sales group at 844-605-2426
