Do certain websites become unavailable after maxing out threshold limit?

I used to be able to access cPanel from my webhost at the slowed speeds.  But this time, Chrome gives the "Page Not Found --  Error code: ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED".  Thought my hosts' servers were down but I can access everything from my cell.  So I'm just wondering if Exede changed the policy on eliminating access to certain sites when over the limit.

Thanks guys!  Been recommending Exede as much as I can!

It opened right up to the admin log in for me.

You might try explorer or fire fox instead.

It might be a security issue also and it's timing out waiting for the log in info?

I have not heard of any Exede changes that would do this. Have you tried to log in after 12am. You should have full speed from 12 to 5 am.

Yep, just tried now and it worked after midnight. Wondering if my host did upgrades that are causing this new "issue". I tried IE and FF with same results earlier. Even cleared out cookies and incognito mode with no luck. Looks like I have a week of only doing my web design stuff at night lol.

This is what happens when I let the folks use my internet to access Netflix, so they can watch "The Rockford Files"

Thanks Everett for the info :)

Slower speeds imposed by being DAP'd (I assume that's the case) are sufficient to sporadically cause what you've described. the problem could be anywhere along the 88000 mile round trip request-response sequence. Your route along that journey can be different than anyone else.

More than likely somewhere along the line, someone's expecting a low-level response quicker than it's being received especially with the additional overhead of the https (secure) protocol involved here.

olysounder89, the information provided from Lab Rescuer and Everette are spot on. If you'd like to send me your info to, I can check on your connectivity to make sure everything is in order. (:
